2010 Stayner ChessFest Nutshell Info
The Stayner Chessfest is a rated tournament for all elementary school chessplayers who live in Grey, Bruce and Simcoe Counties.
It is nationally rated with the Canadian Chess'n Math Association. The tournament's results will be posted on the Chess'n Math website a few days after the event, and will also be published in the local newspaper.
Membership in the Simcoe County Chess Club is not required for participation in this event.
You may register by phone, or email (see poster or application) BEFORE Tuesday, February 23rd, at 5:00 p.m. Payment is to be made at the tournament. Entry fee is $20, cash only please. (Note: those who register but don't come may be penalized at future events.)
Parent, or adult designated by parent, must remain onsite for players under 12. A comfortable waiting room with audio visual entertainment is provided .
We meet at the Clearview Community Church, 1070 County Rd 42 (Airport Rd) -- across from Foodland. Check-in runs from 12:00 - 12:30, and Round 1 begins at 1:00 p.m. Late arrivals will have to forfeit games that have already been paired. We expect to begin placement announcements at 4:00 p.m.

2 hotdogs and 1 drink are included in the registration fee. Extra food available for purchase, including Tim Horton's coffee. Outside food and drink not permitted.
